Dynamics 365 Field Service Power BI Developer

– Toronto, Ontario

– Full-Time (Hybrid, or Remote)

– Reporting to the FIELDBOSS Onboarding Team

JOB OVERVIEW:

FIELDBOSS is an innovative, flexible field service management solution, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and designed for elevator, HVAC, and specialty contractors. The organization is led by a team of Chartered Professional Accountants and Certified Microsoft Technology Specialists who have been providing the highest level of service in the Microsoft solution consulting industry since 1989.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Report Development and Data Visualization

• Design and develop interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards for FIELDBOSS users across multiple business units.
• Create compelling data visualizations that translate complex Dynamics 365 datasets into clear, actionable business insights.
• Build and maintain data models that efficiently connect to Dynamics 365 Sales, Service, and Business Central environments.
• Create automated report refresh schedules and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.

Technical Implementation and Integration

• Integrate Power BI solutions with Dynamics 365 Power Platform components and related systems.
• Optimize report performance through efficient calculations, data modeling best practices, and query optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI connectivity, performance, and functionality issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data models and report specifications.

Collaboration and Project Delivery

• Work in an Agile development environment to deliver reporting enhancements based on product team and customer priorities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Provide training and support to end users on Power BI report functionality and best practices.
• Take responsibility for design methodology and comprehensive project documentation.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

Technical Expertise

• Experience developing Power BI reports against the Dynamics 365 Power Platform
• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Sales, Service, and Business Central data structures
• Experience with data modeling and visualization best practices

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present concepts to various stakeholders
