Awkward Interactions on a Conference Call

Modern technology has opened up new marketplaces that allow us to promote our businesses to new geographic locations. And given that it can now be as easy to work with people remotely as it is to work face-to-face, telecommunication is increasingly the new norm. At FieldBoss, our customer base extends throughout Canada, the US and other parts of the world so we participate in daily conference calls (and other online communication tools) with clients and partners.

Anybody who’s ever been on a conference call knows that a few things are always to be expected:

  1. There is almost always an awkward conversation between the first two participants until others join.
  2. When the meeting is underway, two people begin to speak at once, both insisting the other continue.
  3. One person gets disconnected, and has to log back in – *beep* “It’s me again, sorry about that.”

Well, YouTube geniuses Tripp and Tyler have turned all of the awkward interactions on a conference call into a reality that’s so very accurate and hilarious, it makes me want to call a meeting with our team just to see who I would “be” in this scenario.
