The Rimrock Corporation team, developers of FIELDBOSS contractor management software, is made up of many talented, hardworking individuals — but in addition to their day jobs, our employees have a wide array of hobbies, talents, and interests that make them truly unique. Our Employee Spotlight series will introduce you to the members of the Rimrock family; learn what they do, and how they keep Rimrock exciting and fun.
Our first interview is with JP Sebastien, our ERP Account Manager who just competed in the Chicago Marathon.
What do you love most about working at Rimrock & how long have you been here?
I’ve been with Rimrock for almost 3 years. I enjoy helping others. In my roll, I help our ERP Clients find ways to work smarter, not harder. Whether it is identifying a solution to provide more robust reporting, or to make sure they are up to date with the ever-evolving Microsoft Dynamics space, I try my best, along with the ERP Consulting team, to ensure that our Clients have a positive experience with Rimrock, and continue to trust us with supporting their business needs.
What did you do before you worked at Rimrock?
I worked in various Accounting and Finance roles in the Manufacturing, Professional Sports and Transportation sectors.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working? What do you do in your spare time, any hobbies?
I enjoy fishing, travelling, cheering on my fav sports teams (Go Bills!), trying new restaurants and dishes, and running.
Rumor has it you ran the Chicago marathon this past weekend on October 10th. Was it your first?
I sure did! Chicago was my second full Marathon. I’ve been running off and on for a long time, but only really started to get serious about longer distance running several years ago.
I finished the marathon with a time of 3:54:36 beating my previous marathon time by 30 minutes.
What is on your bucket list?
Run all 6 world major marathons – Chicago, London, NYC, Berlin, Tokyo and Boston.

What TV shows/music/apps/Podcasts are you currently obsessed with right now?
Currently watching/trying to get through Squid Game on Netflix, and What If on Disney+.
Favourite thing about Toronto? Or favourite place in Toronto?
Tommy Thompson Park. It’s hard to believe we have a huge greenspace/wildlife reserve minutes away from the downtown core. It’s my favourite place to run through.
